Review by BloodOnTheDF:

avatar=411_.jpgStraight to the point, the best racing game you can find on 32 bits generation.
This game came as a response to super successful Mario Kart. Some people consider this game as a ripoff of said game but I think Crash Team Racing took carting games to another level.
Launched on 1999, and being the last Crash game made by Naughty Dog, CTR became a classic PS1 game. Premise is simple, take your favorite Crash character, ride your kart and blow your opponents with deadly power-ups! If you played previous games you will be familiarized to maps, since they are cleverly based on levels from Bandicoot’s world. Every single aspect of them is very detailed and happens to be really attractive to see and play. Gameplay-wise this game has very smooth controls and they play almost perfectly. Carrer mode is brilliant. Prepare to kick your old foes’ asses. Also, you have to beat some really hard challenges in order to complete this game and unlock all hidden characters.
All in all, a really good experience. If you didn’t play this on your old PSX this is your chance to try this classic. You will like it even if you aren’t a fan of Crash series!
PROTIP: Turbo drifting is the key to beat this game. Abuse of this method anytime you can. Just jump, steer holding jump button and hit the other jump button in right time to make a turbo chain and gain advantage.
