Description:
Jet Moto 2: Championship Edition is a Racing video game published by SCEA released on April 3rd, 1998 for the PlayStation.
Greatest Hits version, unlike most of them this has gameplay changes. It is actually an incredible story of how that happened. Sony demands Greatest Hits re-releases must be exact copies of the original game (God forbid people get a better experience!), it was thanks to a "mix-up" this improved version was sent to Sony for mass production. https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Jet_Moto_2
And thanks to that this version went on to sell 800,000 copies!
Changes:
- Framerate increased by 50%. From 20 frames per second to 30. This was achieved by reducing the number of racers to 4.
- Optional Vibration support with a Dual Shock Analog controller. A toggle for the feature was added to the game's pause menu.
- All the tracks, including the tracks for Jet Moto 1 were unlocked, for a total of 20 tracks.
- The opening screens "A Sony Interactive Studios America Production" and "Developed by" were replaced with two screens: "A 989 Studios Production" and "Designed & Developed by 989 Studios And". The subsequent Singletrac logo was updated to "Singletrac Studio" and these screens now have a background as opposed to the previous black background. The SISA credits were also updated with the 989 Studios name as well as an extra screen crediting those involved with the Championship Edition.
