Castlevania: The Dracula X Chronicles is an expanded remake of the original Rondo of Blood where you play as Richter Belmont to save the day from Dracula´s plans.
It plays the same as its predecessors, so your movements will be slow and limited and the only thing that will save your hide is your skill and timing with the different moves Richter has (some of them which unfortunately are not self-explanatory ) to evade enemy attacks and progress through the stages
- (Square button – Main Attack (whip)
- Up + Square – Sub weapon Attack
- X button – Jump
- X button two times – Back-flip
- Triangle Button – Item Crash (Sub weapon ultra-attack)
- Hold Square, Hold Back – Retreat
Many stages contain a couple of secrets and hidden paths that will either modify the way you progress though the story, unlock new characters, difficulty and challenge modes, music and even unlock fully playable games from the Castlevania franchise such as Symphony of the Night (the other one is Akumajo Dracula Peke and that´s it, sad isn’t it?)
A great platformer game with quite a lot of content to unlock that will keep you entertained for quite some time!
