Description:
Mortal Kombat Gold is a Fighting video game published by Eurocom, Midway released on August 31st, 1999 for the SEGA Dreamcast.
This is re-release of Mortal Kombat Gold, a little bit of ancient history: About a month after the official release of the game Midway had to re-release it to fix some bug(s).
Dubbed HOT! NEW! it’s the same MK Gold but with VMU support which means you can now actually save the game and other bugfixes, . The cover art is the same but with a “HOT! NEW!” green sticker slapped on it, and the CD is now Red instead of Gold.
If you happened to buy the bugged version it was possible to go back to the store and get the updated version free of charge, provided you saved the receipt, which was pretty neat.
This isn’t the only game Midway had to re-release as HOT! NEW! the other games are NFL Blitz 2000, Hydro Thunder and Ready 2 Rumble Boxing
