This game is a side story to Chrono Trigger series. The plot has Kid, Serge and Gil infiltrate Viper Manor trying to still an artifact known as the Frozen Flame.
Masato Kato (who wrote Chrono Trigger) wrote the main storyline for this game. And the music is by Yasunori Mitsuda who wrote Chrono trigger's soundtrack.
Plot elements from this game where later used for Kato's next game: Chrono Cross.
