Der Langrisser (デア ラングリッサー) is a Tactical RPG video game published by NCS released on June 30th, 1995 for the SNES.
Der Langrisser is the SNES version of Langrisser II for the Sega Genesis.
The 2nd game in the Langrisser series, the spiritual predecessor of Growlanser.
While Growlanser is more real time oriented, this game is turn based with squads of units.
The importance of defense over offense in this game is extremely high so don’t go expecting it to be like easy Fire Emblem where you can sweep 1 enemy per playable character.
There are four paths that Erwin can take depending on his decisions: Light, Imperial, Independent, and Chaos.
